Straight Outta Compton & The Truth About My Black Hair – Marilyn Devonish

  1. Thoughtfully and gracefully expressed, Marilyn. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the video clip you posted. Say WHAT??? A school is supposed to be a place of higher learning — but, obviously, the administrators who attempted to put forth that RIDICULOUS ruling DESPERATELY need an education themselves! Thank you for sharing your personal story and for being the voice of reason in response to such madness. xoxo <3

  2. Linda Papciak I had no words, but obviously I still managed to find some!! πŸ˜†. Seriously though, it is a rather crazy state of affairs. I can only think that they have no idea about the challenges of black hair care. Let’s hope they have now been schooled.

  3. Yep!! Actually, this week alone, I have used that phrase : it’s 2016!!! NOT the Victorian days! WTF why do people still act like its 1885??! In SO many situations!!
