Life Choices – If You Can Only Do 1 Thing I Would Do This
After 18 years and 20+ different Coaching, Training, Health and Therapeutic Modalities under my belt it’s a question I get asked a lot, particularly when people have time or budget constraints and are looking for something that will propel everything.
When I first got into this one I wished I had seen it sooner and wondered what my life would have been like had I had access to it decades ago or at least at the start of my personal development journey; that said, the twists and turns of the journey are what led me here today, however I would have had far less stress and destress and angst along the way. This is the usual response when people have a Session with this:
The thing I would choose if you were looking for something to:
- Kickstart your transformational journey.
- Identify next steps.
- Help you decide which therapies, courses, or type of Coaching is best suited to you.
- Understand where you have been and where you are going.
- Clearly identify and pinpoint what is stopping or blocking or holding you back.
- Answer some of life’s big unanswered questions and get more insight into the ‘why?’
- Gain clarity with career or business direction.
- Provide greater clarity about your Life Purpose and Soul Destiny.
My clients have described it as: “Looking at the Blueprint of their life laid out on 5 sheets of paper.”
At the time of writing it takes less 2 hours of your time and less than $200 out of your bank account yet the wealth of knowledge a full Reading can provide is somewhat priceless.

This thing that I speak of is a Soul Plan Reading.
I took one of my now Power of 4 clients through a Soul Plan diagnostic last week and their response was:

We start the Power of 4 Sessions with the Soul Plan Reading because it is such a powerful diagnostic for everything else.
Based upon your birth name, there are multiple levels and layers to the Soul Plan. The initial Report which you receive via email is always insightful and people have what I call those Aha and Lightbulb Moments. The next level is the Personal Reading to explain what the symbols and ‘squiggles’ in the various positions mean and how they impact each other. Beyond that, which is where it gets really interesting as a starting point is getting specific in terms of limiting beliefs, self-help, recommended courses, and even Bach Flower Remedies. The Healing Affirmations are also pretty deep when they apply specifically to you, an example of which is outlined below and I’ll cover:
- Worldly Challenges that can block your progress and growth.
- Specific Limiting Beliefs which can sabotage your success.
- Suggested Therapies related to your personal Soul Plan aspects.
- Self Help Methods to help overcome challenges and enhance your Talents and gifts.

Your Worldly Challenges
Let me give you an example. I’ve got the 10-1 as my Worldly Challenge. The 10-1 is called Potential Manifestation and Reaching Out to Serve. The Worldly Challenge is said to be the first things you have to face and overcome if you are to more fully step into your Worldly Goals and Worldly Talents and then evolve from there into living your Spiritual Talents, Spiritual Goals and Soul Destiny.
The 10-1 in the Worldly Challenge position is about having a high frequency, good Yin/Yang balance of the male and female, being excellent healers, inventive, the gift of vocal expression, many spiritual abilities including being a Channel, and here on this earth in a possible service incarnation.
That description describes to a tee what I do in the world now, HOWEVER, up until the age of 32 that was alien territory and none of that would have resonated in the least; I had a Business Studies Degree, Post Graduate Marketing Diploma, and was studying to be a Chartered Accountant, so spirituality and “being a Channel” was nowhere on my list of interest or priorities.
I knew back that I was dissatisfied which is why I gave up my job at the Investment Bank to go back to study to be a Chartered Accountant; however once I got started the sense of dissatisfaction was still there, made harder by the physical challenges and illness I had at the time, which all made perfect sense when I got into personal development in October 2000 and when I saw my Soul Plan some 13 years later.
The Possible Challenges
The Possible Challenges that can block you stepping into your Worldly Goals and Talents for the 10-1 include:
Denial of spirituality, being highly critical (just for the record I hated myself), self loathing, perfectionist, isolated (I felt like I was always living my life on the outside looking in), insecure (I severely lacked confidence and had very low self-esteem), difficulty in adjusting to the physical (I hated my body). The overarching message is that those with the 10-1 energy in the Worldly Challenges position: Must work to establish self in the spiritual.
Limiting Beliefs
The Limiting Beliefs associated with the 10-1 are:
I am separate. I am alien. I am abandoned by the Divine. I have to be perfect. I hate myself. I am flawed. Others are flawed.
If you don’t have the 10-1 challenge you probably won’t resonate or have a charge around them, and there are 22 other Soul Plan combinations in the mix, I’ve just chosen one to illustrate.
Suggested Therapies
This is where it really got intriguing for me when I became a Certified Soul Plan Reader in November 2013 and saw what was beyond the initial Soul Plan Report. Suggested therapies for the 10-1 include:
Spiritual Counselling (I started off with learning Reiki in the late 1990’s), Energy Healing (see Reiki and then learning Huna in 2000), Chakra and male/female balancing (how this showed up for me would also have been triggered by the childhood abuse), NLP, Hypnosis, (NLP and Hypnosis were 2 of the trainings that absolutely changed my life and opened me up to a whole new world and way of being), Vow breaking and spiritual awareness techniques.
One of the reasons I was like: “WOW! I wish I’d known this before” is that I might have explored them more deeply when NLP was first presented to me in my 20’s. Instead I blew it off as: “Some guy just talking.”
Self Help Methods
Self help methods for the 10-1 Worldly Challenge include:
Volunteering to help others, (one of the first things I did when I got over my own suicidal stage was become a Samaritan volunteer), meditation for compassion, practising “connecting” through meditating (my Huna meditations became and still are a big part of my life), practicing healing (for those who are on my eNewsletter list or follow me on social media you will know that I am in an ongoing space of healing exploration and sharing those things with you), connecting to nature, spiritual literature and books on inspiring people who have been of service (to say that my book collection, both spiritual and otherwise has grown since becoming a PhotoReading™ Instructor in March 2002 would be an understatement!)
Bach Flower Remedies
For those who love the Flower Remedies these are recommended for the 10-1 Challenge:
Beech, Pine, Walnut, Wild Oat.
Bach is something I haven’t really used or explored however in writing this Blog I might just reconnect with them again!
Healing Affirmation
Each of the 22 Soul Plan aspects have a Healing Affirmation. For the 10-1 it is:
“I am fully connected to the Divine, to my higher self and the infinite wisdom of Source. I am a spark of divinity manifesting beingness, I am one with the onlyness. I am that … I am …”
When my clients hear the Healing Affirmations that are specific to them it is often quite profound and emotional.

If You Are Feeling Lost in Life or Lacking Clear Direction
One of the things to note about the 10-1 if you have it in your Worldly Goals position is that it the energy of it essentially comes with no strong drive or direction about your goals; contrast with some of the Soul Plan aspects which specifically mention an profession or field, so for 10-1’s it can be difficult actually choosing a career and settling on what you actually want to do because there can be so many ways to be of service.
The good news is that the rest of your Soul Plan can help to point to way. I had a client recently; those who attended the free 1-Day Workshop I ran for my Membership Group will know who I mean because she shared the story with you all there. Her Soul Plan kept on talking about “being a Teacher” which she isn’t. She has spent all of her working life thus far working for a Government Local Authority. During out Sessions I said 2 things which turned out to be profound and prophetic for her, one was this thing about being a Teacher, however not necessarily in the traditional sense, the other was about being “offered a job where they want you to start right now” because she had taken redundancy and was in between jobs.
So it turns out on the day of her interview she was offered a job where they wanted her to start right now. On the same day she ran into a friend and was saying she had been out of work for several months and he also offered her a job, on the same day, where he wanted her to start “right now.” Both employers were then trying to woo her! Then, she starts her new job and does some informal Mentoring for a new employee because her boss didn’t have the time. Her new Mentee keeps on saying what a wonderful “teacher” she is, so much so he goes off and tells a friend who rocks up to her and basically said: “So and so said you’re a great Mentor and teacher. Can you please Mentor me?”
At which point she laughed and realised she is a wonderful teacher and that it’s an untapped skill which she hadn’t been paying attention to so the Soul Plan (and Angel Tarot) really does work in very amazing and mysterious ways. As my Soul Plan Readings clients have found, it is always quite astounding and synchronistic to see and make sense of how the calling of your soul has already been speaking to you, showing up, and playing out.
The Soul Plan Keeps On Giving
One of the many things I love about the Soul Plan is that it also keeps on unfolding and giving because it’s about our entire life rather than just a snapshot in time. I saw something a few weeks ago that is so meaningful now yet when I looked at it 5 years ago it didn’t really mean anything. As one of my Soul Plan Reading clients put it:
