Ooooh Marilyn, I have the same problem with Opi, it only lasts about 5 hours whoever does it. Now I get shellac every 2-3 weeks at a salon, 45 mins, no problems 💕
Jane Court I have tried over the years probably every brand known to man and woman-kind (I used to work for Harrods and House of Fraser so got a staff discount) and NOTHING has ever worked for me and I’ve tried cheap and cheerful through to mind wateringly expensive and everything in between. My solution is not to bother or to just wear glitter nail varnish because it’s more challenging to tell when it’s chipped to buggery! 😀

It may depend on the brand and then how long you’re letting it set. I never get manicures- I do mine at home and they last sometimes a couple of weeks- that said, I never use OPI because for being so foofoo- it always chips. I swear by Sally Hansen InstaDry- 2 coats, and even though it’s insta dry I let me them set for a good bit like an hr without doing anything, sometimes after I add different sparkle finishes. lastly by running fingers under cold water and my nails will last for a days even on the go as I am…
very good question 🤔 i would also love to know how to have fabulous nails although i sometimes think it’s luck or patience and always wearing gloves which is impractical for me 🙄
It’s all down to quality of product. Test different products (if you can be bothered) till you find one that stays on. That’s all it is. Makes no diff WHO does your nails – your cat could do it! (Well, you know what I mean. Lol) I use “Mavala” brand. It dries in like 4 minutes (maybe that’s the secret) & stays on without feathering or chipping off. It’s brilliant.
