snap , its all about the one thing!… focus
Someone said something on Facebook today that summed up my creative process and having so many ideas at any one time. He said “my brain has too many tabs open”. I could totally relate!
Im so with you there.
O dear. Ideas to fill many lifetimes all at once.
Anneke van Genderen Yes, me too.
I will look at your fb live later on. Curious how you choose.
This is really awesome Marilyn. Very synchronised. Have been doing something similar as super focus required. Hence allowing the creativity to be channelled.
Oh yes using my IT architecture and process elements integrated with it. It’s really awesome.
Haha so funny….Yes many tabs open indeed.
This week completed soooo many keys things by sectioning of time n brain space on one thing at a time. Now creating a more streamlined framework….
Awesome stuff lady ❤❤❤
Rock on super Marilyn ❤
At a meeting just this evening I was talking about streamlining and focussing on key projects, lightening my load and getting rid of some time consuming things that were not benefitting me as they used to. Only so many hours in the day, and only so much energy can be spent on doing things properly. Being spread thinly means nobody wins in the end.
Manjit Kaur Jootle That is Fantastic and in all of my work I am often looking for great ways to blend things which is how most of my energetic and esoteric creations come about, however this time, like yourself with your super IT skills, there was a very definite and conscious decision to start to evaluate it Project Management style.
There were several ‘fun’ yet energetically and financially duff ‘projects’ in there which delivered nothing in return, and eventually had an almost negative impact.
Cassandra Denton Yes, very true. And I don’t mind being spread thin because energetically there’s a lot of me to go around, I am however like you said, being much more mindful of the benefit of things. I realised that many of the things that I do greatly benefit others yet we’re leaving me out of of the equation. That, I can no longer allow to be the case or choose to tolerate.
Exactly this!!!
In random order.
Yes. Fun and energetically great do not neccessarily equate great income.
I started my evaluation this year with ‘who am I and what am I about?’ All things will be measured against that.
Also key question for me: Why?
This following a ted talk of Simon Sinec (hopefully spelled his name right). Worth listening to.
As you know, I have been ill and Im still very tired. So I had to take a step back. I realised that the delivery route I was taking was not right for me. It is under review now. And I will make fb my main platform. I attend it most myself and I kind of ‘get’ it now.
My intuition keeps on throwing up random things I can do and would enjoy doing. I need to step away from: once I start doing something I have to keep it going. No. I can enjoy it for as long as I enjoy it and then stop doing it. (Big step for me. BIG step)
My favourite things. That is a seemingly endless list. Which is good in itself. I am never bored. Dont understand the concept. And. It makes choosing more difficult.
Thank you Anneke van Genderen for your wonderful feedback. I hear you about the ‘favourite things’ and choosing. For me, I love inspiring people and sharing things that might do that (#MotivationMonday).
I love doing both the written and now #FacebookLive Angel Tarot Reading (#TarotTuesday).
One of my favourite things is sharing wisdom and knowledge and unearthing or reinvigorating long lost gems and pearls of wisdom (#WisdomWednesday).
I do so love putting my Consultancy hat on and solving challenges and problems. (#ThinkTankFriday).
I so love sharing when I’ve found something great or new . . . #SharingSaturday
And oh my goodness how much do I enjoy touching and awakening the soul . . . . #SoulFoodSunday
And yes, there are many other things that I enjoy however this for me is a good starting point.
There were a few thing that I started and tested out over the past 2-3 years. Yes, I enjoyed them all to varying degrees however I had to stop and look at how people responded beyond ‘saying’ that something was a great idea, and also the other types of returns; time, energy, money, enjoyment.
My next endeavour is to do something similar with what I decide to continue to offer in terms of both private client work, and public workshops. 🙂
Yes you bring a lot of different things together. And, there is an overall theme of getting people to the next level. (Whatever that is for them).
I guess I will devide my interests a bit. No idea how I can market a lot of them. But I will test it and find out.
Perhaps next one is ‘how to sell a house like a wizard / witch’. To be followed by ‘how to buy a house like a wizard / witch’. To be concluded by ‘ how to move house like a wizard / witch’. ☺
I have to be carefull what I say here. Chances are it will happen sooner rather than later. ☺
O. And if you need a volunteer for your next endeavours Im always happy to help. ☺
LOOOL and I had a though 2 days ago, this time about a chapter I’d rather forget from 11 years ago, and the person reared their head again today with an email, so yes, thoughts very often had power.
For me this is the beginning, not the end process or the be all and end all. I know however that the next evolution will come from it so I’m not trying to decide on everything right now.
Hmm. Yes. I do have to put some parameters in place on my adventures. Not sure yet what they should be. But I dont want to end up with a project completely takingbover my life. Once set up and running I must have time / energy and money left to persue other things.
I am more of a creating things person than a minding the shop person. I know I would become unhappy minding the shop.
I need space to keep evolving.
I got rid of all my beautiful things to emigrate, including my stunning £3K piano and stunning £3K sofa … but I found it so liberating. It’s so true that your health is your wealth, not material things ❤️
I have moved lots of times. I have always taken along all my possessions. I do see what you mean. And. The things make it my home. Especially my books. I asked the children the last time we moved when the house becomes their home. It is the kitchen table that is the main thing.
Oh Evangelina Tsa that’s big and next level. I know I’m not ready to go that far yet because I have several items that I so love plus a few new ones they I am just starting to enjoy.
Marilyn Devonish yeah it’s a bit hardcore LOL, and I do sometimes miss the sofa! The lounge is just a work room now from where I rehearse, teach and do nails. It’s not like a home anymore because I sold all my homely stuff, including TVs. Good job I’m too busy to sit down and watch 📺 these days lol
It’s funny you should say that and make that distinction, I was saying to a friend a couple of weeks ago that I really want to turn my house into my home, so that it’s not just the nice place where I eat, sleep, and work. 😊
