Yes, I was rather puzzled when I first heard about the concept as well.  Reshaping my body in 2 minutes per day using a brick, an oven and a buttonWhat?????

Well stick with me and some of that will be revealed.

I had a meeting 11 days ago with this month’s London Yes Group speaker Jean-Pierre de Villiers.  Jean-Pierre is known as the Reshape Coach.  He is passionate about reshaping not just people’s body’s, but their lives, by reshaping their psychology and physiology.

Not just talk, this is something that JP has achieved in his own life without spending forever in the gym:

We were discussing the 3 key principles that he is going to be sharing with our lucky audience on the night, Wednesday 28th May 2014, and how everyday people who don’t have masses of time to spend in the gym could benefit.

Having seen not just the photos of Jean-Pierre, but also meeting him several times in real life, I had to confess that it was all rather intimidating, and in the end I had to ask:

“How can regular busy people attain anything close to your physique?  You must spend all day in the gym and grow your own organic vegetables! 

Surprising Fact Number 1

To maintain the physique that you see before you (well, that you see above and below) Jean-Pierre spends about 30 minutes a day in the gym.  (My thought here was that those must be a very different kind of 30 minutes than mere mortals like myself), and that is where his Button philosophy comes in.

I don’t want to spoil it for those of you coming along on Wednesday night, so suffice to say, he pushes the button a bit more every day, and this is one of the ways that he moved from the ‘before’ to the ‘after’ physique.

“So what about time?”  I asked.  “For some people even finding 30 minutes a day might be a bit of a challenge given the pressures and responsibilities of their day to day lives?”

Start with just 2 minutes per day

This is where the Oven philosophy comes into play and all I’ll say here for now (I’ll maybe come back and add to this after the talk on Wednesday) is that firing up the oven just 2 minutes a day to start with can have a beneficial long term effect.  If you can get that baby fired up for 10 minutes, well then you’d really be cooking with gas!

And then Jean-Pierre addressed my: “Do you eat like a saint and grow your own organic vegetables?”

Building the foundations of your life

JP sees food like Bricks, the bricks with which we build not just our physical foundation, but our entire ‘house’ and he has created a very simple ‘Does it . . . . ? ‘ philosophy and question which pretty much takes the guesswork out of everything and simplifies it to such an extent that try as you might you can no longer pretend or ignore it.

Again, I won’t spoil it for those of you that are coming to the Yes Group meeting on Wednesday as I really do want you to get your £15 worth, and trust me, that information that you will be receiving on the night is priceless and potentially life changing so £15 is a miniscule investment.

Ah, and then there is the ‘Accountability is King’ piece, and for those who are up for the challenge, Jean-Pierre will be getting you all to play the game and report back between 28th May and our next London Yes Group meeting on Wednesday 25 June.

I have been doing it since our meeting on Thursday 15th May and I have to say that the habit has really started to form with the ‘Accountability Challenge’ that Jean-Pierre set for me.

As I didn’t want to spoil it for people attending the London Yes Group I didn’t actually say what the brick, the oven, and the button referred to, so now, here goes!

The Brick is about thinking about the food that make up the building blocks of your life.  If you have poor quality un-nutritious bricks, that is the foundation with which you are building your body.  Jean-Pierre’s suggestion is to ensure that your food has either flown in the sky, walked on land, or grown out of the earth.  If it doesn’t fit those basic criteria, the chances are that you are not building yourself  with the best quality bricks, and no, ‘natural fruit jellies’ did not grow on  trees!  😉

The Oven is about firing up your oven every single day, the oven being your body.  Jean-Pierre refers to this as POS (Proof Of Sweat) and he has his private clients message him on a daily basis to give an update of their POS for the day.  JP says you can start with just 2-minutes per day and build from there.

The Button is pushing that button every single day.  For instance, on day one you ‘fire up the oven’ for 2 minutes.  On day two, do 2 minutes and 1 second, on day three do 2 minutes and 2 seconds, day four, 2 minutes and 3 seconds . . . .  I’m sure that you catch my drift.  If every single day you push the button a bit further than you did the day before, the body adapts and makes progress.
