Elizabeth Gilbert on the Heroines Heroic Journey – Did you get the memo?

Posted by:

“Many women didn’t get the memo that it’s their life.”

Did you get the memo, or are you still waiting for permission to live?

I wasn’t running or attending a Workshop this weekend so I had what I call my ‘Oprah Love-In.’  Three hours on a Sunday morning of back-to-back Oprah courtesy of the TLC channel.

The Super Soul Sunday guest this week was Elizabeth Gilbert, the Author of Eat, Pray, Love.  What ensued was a fascinating conversation which resonated on ...

Posted by:

This is Part 2 of my day with the Dalai Lama.  What follows may not be grammatically correct because I have left the words as they were spoken so that you get more of the Dalai Lama’s personality and vibe.

I have split it into several parts because the original notes run to some 3,700 words and 7 pages!

Part 1 is about how to get inner peace, how you can overcome difficulties in life, and what you can do to lift your spirits. ...

‘Life is short.  Have an affair.’

In the wake of the Ashley Madison scandal where the e-mail addresses of thousands, and some reports say millions of cheaters have been released into the public domain, a big question is should the cheating spouses by outed,  and their details plastered across the media for all to see?

The One Question That Can Change & Transform Your Outlook & Approach To Life

Posted by:

I recently shared an idea with someone.  Their first reaction upon hearing it was:

“Oh yeah but what if . . . .?”

Their reaction was cautionary.  A polite way of saying: “Hmmmmm, what if it doesn’t work?”

As I listened to them, I realised that a variation on their reaction is also one of my favourite ‪#‎LifeQuestions‬ and ‪#‎CoachingQuestions‬ however I use it in a completely different way.

My version of that question is:

“Oooooh, I wonder ...

Do You Suffer Chronic Tiredness & Fatigue? Here’s What You Can Do To Change It

Posted by:

Whoa. I can barely believe what I am reading, even though I wrote it!  It was written back in 1998/99 at the time where I was suffering from a chronic lack of energy and mental fogginess.

It is one of those: “You know ‪#‎ThoseTimes‬ where you know something to be true however sometimes when you speak of it the scenario seems somewhat unreal because your reality is so different now” moments.

I found a letter that I wrote to ...

The Marilyn Devonish #FridgeChallenge – It’s so easy & ecological – Are you in?

Posted by:

I played a game this past week where I had to eat everything in the fridge before going shopping again.

I know that sounds crazy, I mean, what else am I gonna do with the food in the fridge? Right?

Well actually ‘no’ it’s not so crazy, because I noticed that I sometimes do this thing where I might buy something that I fancy on that particular day regardless of what is in the fridge, and then come the end of ...

An Open Letter To The Men Who F*@K and Run

Posted by:

“He’s an a*$hole” as a friend recently put it as she recounted yet another story and experience of almost dating a guy who did the f*@k and run. I say ‘almost dating’ because she believed by his previous actions that they were.  And not all of them get or go as far as sleeping with a woman but this particular type of man plays with women’s hearts nonetheless

I kind of have to apologise up front because this isn’t the respectful or ...
